As you may be aware through the media, the national voucher scheme, which makes up for not having access to free school meals during lockdown, has a website which is struggling to cope with the demand. This means that schools, including us, are having difficulty ordering the vouchers.
The website was accessed last night (at 11.45pm!) and orders covering the next two weeks have been placed. The value of the support is £15 per eligible child per week.
Most parents eligible to get the vouchers have provided email addresses, which should mean that an email should arrive - I have no control over how soon the system does anything - with your eCode. This eCode can be used to create an eGift card usable at a range of supermarkets.
The FAQ document linked below explains the use of the eCode and eGift card.
