Since January 2018, Mr Rees has been employed as a sports coach. In this role, he helps prepare teams for an ever-expanding programme of competitions and events.
Pupils at Bysing Wood Primary School are given the opportunity to take part in a wide range of extra-curricular sporting activities.
We are also keen to establish school-club links and encourage pupils to take part in sport outside of school.
Bysing Wood Primary School is an active member of The Herne Bay and East Kent Coastal School Sports Partnership and was nominated Partnership School of the Year in 2018/19.
Through a new sport premium the Government is providing £150 million in each of the next few years to support the delivery of PE and sport in primary schools. The following report shows how we have used our funding this year.
We would like to take this opportunity to make local schools, sports clubs and youth/community groups aware of the sports equipment that is now available on loan from Bysing Wood Primary School.
This short-term loan facility is intended to help teachers, sports coaches and youth/community workers increase sports participation and create an awareness of healthy lifestyles through physical activities for general health promotion.
