Curriculum Letters

Term 5

Still Life - Spring Flowers

We made healthy wraps that would be suitable for a packed lunch. The children chose a dairy item, a vegetable and a protein to ensure it was balanced. They certainly enjoyed tasting the food before making it!

Art Day - Sculpture

We had great fun making superheros out of wire and plasticine. We had to manipulate the wire to create the shapes we needed and then cover it with plasticine. Both materials are malleable which makes them easier to use in sculpture.

Holi - The Hindu festival of Colours

Canterbury College Day Out

We had such a fun day out at Canterbury taking part in different workshops. We didn't get many photos because we were too busy having fun! Here we are on our journey and in the robotics department.

Chinese New Year Celebrations

Term 3 and 4

Christmas Fun!

Odd Sock Day

Today we wore odd socks to celebrate our differences and promote kindness and respect. We talked to each other about what respect means to us. We think it means - to be polite, to show kindness, to be helpful, to have good manners, to listen, to share with one another  and being friendly. We spoke to two apples, whilst they looked similar on the outside, they looked very different on the inside after we'd spoken respectfully to one and disrespectfully to the other!

Diwali Celebrations

We had a lovely day celebrating Diwali. We shared with each other how we celebrate Diwali with out families, we made wonderful Diwali  cards, had a delicious lunch and read stories together. We were all very excited and loved our special day together.
